The Poisonous Plants of New Zealand
by H E Connor
Toxic species may be found among flowering plants, ferns, conifers, fungi, and fresh water blue-green algae; all these class are discussed. Most poisonous plants in New Zealand are not native here and much information on toxins and their effects was gathered from overseas sources.
This book is intended for veterinarians, hospital casualty officers, botanists, and farm advisers, but is also written so that farmers may be better informed about hazards for their livestock, and parents more aware of the danger to their children.
